Amadeo, a gritty and swinging boy lives on planet Lucky Cookie at a time when Earth is still at the very beginning of its development.
Some families on Lucky Cookie are busy taking the really important things down to Earth. Amadeo’s oldest brother, Tak Timus for instance is responsible of bringing the time on Earth.
Amadeo, the youngest son of the family is the only one not to have been assigned a task yet. More and more often he is lies under the big, old tree in the garden and dreams his grand vision: the dream of flying.
He sees himself soaring to the skies above and making loops over houses and trees. In his fantasies he flies higher and higher, somersaulting and looping the loop in the air. He goes so high that he can touch the clouds.

One day, his father and the village elder give him the task to go to Earth. He is to bring wings to all animals that are bound to fly in the future. With the help of experienced masters, who have arrived from many countries of planet Lucky Cookie, his father Taron builds all the wings for Amadeo’s task.
Among them are the magic wings, gleaming white, with a soft, golden shimmer around their edges.

Before setting off, wise old Gomir from the neighbouring village promises him, that, at the end he will be very close to his dream of flying. His brother takes him and his battered leather suitcase and rainbow coat to Earth in a transport bubble.

There his adventurous trip starts. Amadeo does not know which animals are to receive wings, which leads to many most quaint and funny encounters.
Katonga the elephant, for instance, tries to take off from the ground, but realises very quickly that his destiny not to hover in the air but stay on the ground.

But all the animals which Amadeo meets during his trip around the world do have one thing in common: they give him valuable presents in  exchange for his wings. For example, Katonga gives him – trust, Manuri the dolphin – zest for life, or Liberella the butterfly – freedom.

At the end of his quest, which leads him to the most beautiful places on Earth, one pair of wings remains: the magic wings.
